  • Your tax and IRD details

  • Your payment details (if applicable) noting we will only use an encrypted third-party payment handling service for these purposes

  • Your identification documents (including but not limited to a passport, a driving licence or other photographic ID).

Using your personal information

We collect and use your personal information to:


  • Provide services and products to you

  • Set up your account on our selected third-party web application for client onboarding

  • Provide you with digital sign-up and authority forms, for your acceptance

  • Verify information with third party databases to complete Customer Due Diligence checks to meet the requirements of the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing Terrorism Act 2009 (as applicable)

  • To provide electronically signed authority forms on your behalf to Inland Revenue, ACC, the Companies Office and other organisations (as applicable)

  • To feed into other third-party software services that are integrated with our software providers (including but not limited to invoicing, quoting, anti-money laundering, compliance and client onboarding software)

  • Conduct market research if you agree to participate in that

  • Tell you about our new products, services, and promotions

  • Customise our marketing and advertising

  • Improve the services and products that we provide to you

  • Bill you and to collect money that you owe us, including authorising and processing credit card transactions

  • Respond to communications from you

  • Keep our services safe and protected

  • Protect and/or enforce our legal rights and interests, including defending any claim

  • For any other purpose authorised by you or the Privacy Act

Disclosing your personal information

We may disclose your personal information in one or more of the following circumstances:


  • Any business that supports our services and products, including any person that hosts or maintains any underlying IT system or data centre that we use to provide the website or other services and products

  • An organisation or regulatory authority who can require us to supply your personal information (e.g., a regulatory authority)

  • For the purposes of verifying it with third parties and third-party databases for the purposes of fraud prevention or the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing Terrorism Act 2009.

  • To a credit reporting agency, they may hold information on their credit reporting database and use it for providing credit reporting services and for any other lawful purpose.

  • We may also release information to third parties as instructed by you and in other ways permitted by the Privacy Act 2020.

  • To the technology service providers our systems integrate with. These providers may operate globally and store information in countries outside of New Zealand. Identity information may be disclosed to identity verification systems like Centrix and OCR Labs who operate primarily in New Zealand and Australia. We utilise systems such as Xero and 2Shakes who operate and store data (or work with third-parties who operate and store data) outside of New Zealand. Our system integrates with billing, payment and Credit Card systems like Stripe who operate globally. When you provide your personal information to us, you consent to the disclosure of your information to these service providers outside of New Zealand in jurisdictions that may not give your information the same protection as provided within New Zealand.

  • Trusted third parties to customise our marketing and advertising or for any other legitimate business purpose (such as getting advice from professionals or our business partners).

  • Any other incorporated person authorised by the Act or another law (e.g., a law enforcement agency).

  • Any other person authorised by you.


We do not authorise third parties to use or disclose your personal information except for the purpose of providing the service we request from them


Where you select any online payment option we offer, we do not handle or store full credit card details. These are captured directly by a third- party provider who will only deal with your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act and this Privacy Notice.


We will use the information we receive only for the purposes that are described in this Privacy Notice or that are otherwise made clear to you on our services. 

Changing your personal information

You have the right to view and change any personal information we hold about you at any time. You can do this by contacting us through the Contact section of our website.

Email communications

You can choose to remove yourself from email marketing communications by following the "unsubscribe" prompt at the bottom of each email.
